MedFoto prepares to open its call and confirms its continuity
The MedFoto, the international Mediterranean photography contest under the theme “The Sea and People,” is preparing to launch its 2025 call and confirms its continuity through the renewal of the alliance between the organizing entities. The president of the Fundació Alive, Bernat Garrigós, and the president of the Club Nàutic L’Escala, Narcís Carreras, signed the new agreement in an event held on Saturday, February 1, in the Boardroom of the Club Nàutic L’Escala.
Thus, MedFoto begins to gear up for its 2025 edition, which will start on March 1 with the publication of the rules, and promises to have two more calls in 2026 and 2027.
The contest aims to highlight the relationship between the sea and people, promote the natural values of the marine environment, and encourage a responsible attitude towards the sea. Through photography, it seeks to disseminate and contribute to the knowledge and preservation of the marine environment.
MedFoto is also an open contest. It is aimed at both amateur and professional photographers and accepts images taken both above and below the sea surface, dedicated to all aspects of the sea, from landscapes to marine life, and from professional and sports activities to leisure activities.
The new agreement reinforces the commitment of both entities to the promotion and preservation of the marine environment, as well as to the dissemination of the natural values of the Mediterranean through photography.
