Coastal toad

Description: During a sunset walk on the western coast of Ustica island (Sicily, Italy), I was really surprised to meet a big population of African green toads (Bufotes boulengeri siculus) living close to the cliff edge. The recent rains created the perfect conditions to observe a great activity of the toads, converging to a single pond generally dry in Summer. I framed one individual in this unusual Mediterranean setting, made of mastic, rocks and the blue horizon.
